Dear participants!
We are pleased to announce the XVII-th International Conference “Horizons in Hydrogen Bond Research” to be held in September 1- 8, 2007 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
This workshop is the seventeenth in the series of conferences on hydrogen bonding, which was initiated in 1977 in Poland. The way of Conference organization is very effective for presentation and discussion of the recent inventions and developments in fundamental and applied fields concerning hydrogen bonds. The XVII-th International Conference is organized by the Institute of Physics of St. Petersburg State University.
The XVII-th Conference “Horizons in Hydrogen Bond Research” will be held in St. Petersburg suburb Repino - nice and small seaside resort. The Conference will be preceded by a Graduate Student Research School on «Hydrogen Bonding and Hydrogen transfer» starting Saturday September, 1. The first Conference session will be held on Monday morning September, 3.

We propose the following list of questions for discussion at the conference:
1. Small hydrogen bonded complexes: from the gas phase to condense matter
2. Hydrogen bonded compounds and complexes in liquids, solids and on a surface
3. Hydrogen bonding properties of solutes at the aqueous interface
4. Liquids with extended hydrogen bonded networks
5. Molecular nanostructures with H-bonds, clathrates
6. Modern trends in calculations of spectra of Hbonded complexes
7. Functional hydrogen bonds in biomolecules
8. Hydrated biosystems with many interacting H-bonds
9. H-bonds in excited states, kinetic properties of H-bond systems
The purpose of the graduate school is to familiarize graduate students with the topic of the International Conference and to give them present their own research studies in short papers.
Contact person for the Graduate school is Ruslan Asfin: <R.Asfin@molsp.phys.spbu.ru>
Abstracts of your presentations can already be submitted via internet in the certain section of this web site.
Working language of the conference is English.
The deadlines for submission and registration will be reported later.
We are looking forward to meeting you in St. Petersburg in September 2007!
